Imperial University

It is with extreme pleasure that I announce that the Imperial University exam revamp project is now 100% completed! This has been an ongoing project for the last few months, and I wish to thank those of you who assisted with the project. Most especially to Lieutenant Daniel Bonini who helped revamp 9 of the exams, earning himself 9 Jerjerrod Crosses, and 1,035,000 in credits!!

With this revamp completed every exam is now comprised of multiple choice and true/false questions, with just a few yes or no questions thrown in just to throw you all off when possible. And please enjoy the dashes of humor in the multiple choice answers within the exams. They serve not only to help guide you towards the correct answer, but to provide little moments of giggles whenever possible.

Ladies and gentlemen, and those others who don't fit either category... the Imperial University is now fully open for business!!!!

Imperial Exchange

Thanks to the always appreciated hard work of AD Kuron, two new categories of items have been added to the Imperial Exchange; Creatures and Equipment!

Per popular request, we are working to add animals that are in the canon Star Wars universe. There are some limitations to the animals we'll add, the first being that a good quality image has to be available, and second that it be something that is reasonable for a member to own as a pet, mount, etc.

With the equipment category we are striving to provide those little extra items that help round out your combat armor, smuggler clothing etc. There are big plans for all this in later additions to the website, but for now we just thought by adding a little more for you to buy and use we could help expand your role-playing adventures.

As always, if someone has an idea on an item to add to the IDE, please notify FM Freeman and/or me so we can look into it.

Directorate Battle Simulator

This morning I was notified by RA Raidoner Demagol that he has to take an emergency LoA. "My wife and I received a call this morning that her father was involved in a serious car crash last night in the Dominican Republic, as you may or may not know I just recently came back from there cause we took our kids there for the summer vacation. So for what I have been told over the phone they are not expecting her father to pull through so i am currently attempting to book a flight over there hopefully for today or definitely for tomorrow."

On behalf of the entire club, I want to wish Raid and his family a safe trip, and our hopes that his father-in-law manages to pull through this ordeal. Safe journey Raid, and keep your head with your family, don't worry about the club during this time.

Until further notice RA Demagol will be on LoA, please pass all questions or issues relating to the DBS to GA Talon Jade.

Imperial University

A new course/exam surrounding Basic Leadership has been released at the Imperial University. This will complement the Advanced Leadership courses and exams already in place in the Freeman Campus at the IU. The Basic Leadership is now a requirement before you can take the Advanced Leadership 1 exam. All unit commanders will be now expected to have passed, or within their first week of appointment, to pass this exam in order to be eligible to retain the position.

So if you are a Ship Captain or Squad Leader, you MUST take this exam by next Friday! No exceptions, the CIU will be watching!!

Guys we now have a Jedi Outcast server and so I will be hosting an open comp all this weekend featuring JO. This will be straight up JO nothing fancy so I will be looking forward to gaming some on our new server.

Imperial Directorate

Yesterday GA Jade and I spent about three hours figuring out the Ops situation on our new channels, and after more attempts than either of us care to remember, we have finally figured out the process. I have updated the Communications chapter in the Operations Manual so that everyone has access to the information they need.

Some of you still haven't converted over yet, and I urge you to do so since we have stopped using the Undernet channels entirely. So join us over on DALnet as soon as possible, and remember to register your nick as soon as you can!

Due to various ongoing problems with Undernet/Cservice, we have decided to move the ID channels to the DALnet servers that are far more reliable and do not require so many hassles to operate. This goes into effect immediately!
