Database/Website Update
Imperial Directorate
In the past 24 hours a lot of work has been accomplished. Already the automated rosters and profiles for personnel in the Imperial Navy and Stormtrooper Corps have started to come online and go live. Over the course of the next 24 hours Rear Admiral Kuron will be working on putting the High Command roster and profiles online, and then he will be working on the final touches to fix some minor issues that we have already spotted and have on a list to be corrected.
One thing I want to be clear with everyone about is that the ID Lines presently listed on the new profile pages are NOT the permanent version. These are simply temporary template lines, so use your regular ID Line at all times since those will continue to be the proper ID Lines. We may tweak them a little as the coding is finalized, and we will let you know when that is completed so you can use those ID Lines for the future. In the meantime please continue using your current ID Lines when submitting any form requests, IDE orders, and IU exams.
I'm pleased to say that today we also began discussing ideas for a future website revamp. This will involve the development of an entirely new and custom design for the ID, and will serve as the permanent template upon which the ID will work with for a long time. At this time we can't say when this may be completed since it will be a work in progress as RA Kuron works to develop a working prototype and we determine what aspects we want to keep or add to it. But our hope is to develop a site that will allow the integration of nearly every aspect of the ID.
Lastly, I hope everyone takes a moment to commend RA Doog Kuron on the work he has done so far. I cannot express enough how much hard work and time he has already given to this club in making this all come to reality. And he has some major plans still ahead, things I haven't even touched upon. So if you see him on IRC feel free to give him a pat on the back and thank him for the hard work he is doing. He's doing all this for free, although he has asked that we build him a nice fictional penthouse apartment with certain "specifications". LOL

Database Development Update
Imperial Directorate
Starting today areas of the Imperial Directorate website will be undergoing modifications to introduce new coding as we integrate the new database into the site. You may see some glitches here or there, or even run into a dead page at times. Please do not freak out, this is to be expected and will only serve as further notification that work is underway in that area of the site. This will be an ongoing project for the next few days, so please bear with us as RA Kuron sweats like crazy behind-the-scenes to bring the automated database to life!

Captain Nekaka Resigns
Stormtrooper Corps
At this time I am saddened to announce that due to personal issues, Captain Nekaka has elected to step down from his position as Platoon Commander and has announced that he wishes to retire from active service in the Imperial Directorate. At this time the position is not open for applications.
Major Rand is on an LOA, therefore, until further notice, I will be assuming all Platoon Commander duties and will fill in as Acting Squad Leader of Wampas.
Any questions can be directed to me directly.

War of Supremacy has begun!
Imperial Navy, Stormtrooper Corps
The first official "War of Supremacy" is now underway! The WoS will become an annual event, with tons of awards and activities to take part in over a 6-week period. During the next 6 weeks you will engage your fellow members individually in a broad range of events, however scoring is not only individual, but also for your unit and your division!
All members are cautioned to thoroughly read the instructions for each event before taking part in it so that there is no misunderstanding what is expected or required of them.
The forums for the "War of Supremacy" are now open! Good luck and have fun!!!

Military Operations Director Appointed!
High Command
Recently I revealed to the club that High Admiral Jade's efforts to find someone to complete the database coding on the domain had paid off and that this person was working rapidly behind-the-scenes to get things to complete the database development. I am pleased to annouce that that this person has agreed to become our new Military Operations Director, and based on the work he's produced so far we have no doubts whatsoever of his abilities to handle the requirements of this position.
Join me in welcoming Rear Admiral Doog Kuron to the Imperial Directorate as our new Military Operations Director! RA Kuron has already started working on developing the Imperial Navy rosters, which will quickly be followed by adding the members to the ships and squadrons. That will be followed by work on the STC side and so on. There are a lot of other additions in the works, but we'll save some of those surprises for when they are ready.

Intermittent 500 Errors
Imperial Directorate
Our hosting service posted the following message a short while ago:
"We are currently experiencing an issue causing some websites to intermittently display a 500 Internal Server error. We are investigating the cause of this issue, and will have an update when more information is available. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, and appreciate your patience while we work to correct the issue."
At this time we are unaware of any of these issues directly affecting the Imperial Directorate domain, but I wanted to be sure you were aware that there may be a pending problem, and if you do experience this issue that it is being looked into.
