CHAPTER FIVE - IMPERIAL NAVY PROMOTION GUIDELINES Welcome to the Imperial Navy Promotion Requirement guide. This document is to only give you ideas of what tasks you can perform to help get you a promotion in the Imperial Navy. The following lists are by no means the only activities you can do. They are simply ideas. The more creative you are at doing activities the better chance you have at catching your commanding officers eye when promotions are due. Cadet to Ensign/Flight officer 2nd class Pass the INCE Ensign/FO2 to Sub-Lieutenant/FO1 Complete 2-3 specific activities in addition to general activity. MUST complete the INCE or SFCE (Determined by which side of the Navy you serve.) Create a character Sheet. Register and post on the Imperial Directorate Message Board. Download and install IRC and chat in #Imperial_Directorate. Participate in an online RP game. Participate in a MP combat competition. Must serve as Ensign for at least 2 weeks. Sub-Lieutenant/FO1 to Lieutenant Complete 2-3 specific activities in addition to general activity. Pass two Imperial University courses of your choice. Pass the Leadership Philosophy course. Participate in a competition. Participate in an online RP game. Participate in a MP combat competition. Be an active member on IRC. Must serve as Sub-LT for 3 weeks. Lieutenant to Lieutenant Commander Complete 3-5 specific activities in addition to general activity. Participate in a competition. Pass three Imperial University courses of your choice. Pass the Fleet Tactics course. Participate in an online RP game. Participate in a MP combat competition. Submit a fiction to the Writer's Corner. Create and run a ship or battlegroup-wide competition. Create an IU course or help the headmaster with a project. Be an active member on IRC. Must serve as Lieutenant for one month. Lieutenant Commander to Commander Complete 4-6 specific activity tasks in addition to general activity. Help with a unit project (Ship, Battlegroup, Squadron or Wing). Create an Imperial University course. Participate in an online RP game. Participate in a MP combat competition. Earn a competition award in a competition. Complete a specific task assigned by your Ship Captain or your Squadron Leader. Submit a fiction to the Writer's Corner or keep one going that you created already. Create and run a branch or ID-wide competition. Must serve as LCDR for 6 weeks. **Note: All requirements are subject to change. Ranks above Commander will be judged on activity levels, time in rank and leadership skills. Any time an officer receives a new promotion based on appointment to a new position, that officer undergoes a mandatory 90-day probationary period. If the officer is removed from the position within that 90-day period they will revert back to their former rank.
