CHAPTER ONE - RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
The Orzon Battle Center’s staff will consist of the Combat Master, at least two Judges, and at least two Trainers.
Initiates are only allowed to challenge Trainers who will assist in training then until they are ready for the qualification battle. Trainers may conduct 4 training matches over email with any one Initiate. When an Initiate feels they are ready or the 4 training matched have been completed then the Trainer may accept the challenge. Initiates are allowed to fail a qualification battle only once before a Trainer can send a request to the combat master suspending the training of that Initiate for 1 month.
Judges will oversee matches assigned to them and will decide the winners of matches based on three factors. Realism, which is the criteria that deals with how well you write the story based on the stats, ranks, abilities and traits of both combatants. Continuity, which is how well you maintained the elements of the story from post to post, as well as how you maintain things that have changed such as; incurred damage, loss of a weapon, the terrain, etc. Writing, which is an all-encompassing criterion that includes (but is not limited to) grammar, spelling, and ingenuity of writing, flare or style of language, entertainment value - all of which are derived from your personal style of writing. When a Judge has decided the winner, they must post a death post detailing the events that ended the battle. Their word is law, though final say always rests with the Combat Master.
The Combat Master oversees the operations of the whole Battledome. He may be challenged by anyone; he may serve as a Trainer or a Judge as well. His word is the absolute law within the Battledome. All Question/Concerns that cant be answer by a Judge or Train should go to the Combat Master.
Violating the rules of the Battle Center will gain you a warning the first time, a temporary ban from the Orzon Battle Center for a second offense, and a complete and permanent removal should your offense be deemed worthy of it, for any subsequent offenses. It depends upon the severity of the offense(s), as to what punishment is given out, but rest assured that disrespect to the Judges, Trainers, Combat Master, or even an opponent, is not taken lightly. We are here to have fun, ladies and gentlemen, but not at the expense of someone else’s dignity.
List of Rules:
- Be Respectful to Battle Center Staff and other Combatants.
- Do not Question a Judges or the Combat Master’s decision.
- Take the Battle Center seriously, but in a fun way.
- Don’t qualify for the Battle Center unless you plan to participate in at least one match a month.
- No God-moding in anyway shape or form.
