II Concussion Missile Launchers (30 Missiles each)   Commissioned in the year 29 ABY by Grand Moff Nyykl Orzon, the engineers and technicians at the Tian Shipyards began the process of redesigning the original building plans for the Super-class Star Destroyer. Having seen the deficiencies in the original design concept first hand, Orzon believed that the Imperial Directorate's vast resources and technical brilliance could revamp the ship design to allow the ID a ship that would out rival any of ship of similar design or class in the galaxy. In 30 ABY after Grand Moff Orzon retired, Grand Admiral Salth Khan revamped the Imperial Directorate from a diplomatic structure into a full-fledged military force, and made the development of the new super star destroyer a priority project. The Modified Super Star Destroyer epitomizes the technical brilliance of the technicians and engineers of the Imperial Directorate and the Imperial Navy. Roughly the same size and dimensions of a standard Super Star Destroyer, ID engineers and technicians discovered a means to improve upon the original SSD design in many ways. With faster and more powerful reactors and engines, the M/SSD out paces most current large star destroyers of the day. With more powerful weapon systems the Modified Super Star Destroyer brings a greater firepower to the field of battle than has ever been seen from an SSD class battleship. Unlike conventional SSD models the Tian Ship Yard design sports a second generation axial super laser capable of fully destroying a Nebula-class Star Destroyer, or similiarly designed vessels. The ships modified characteristics also include regenerative shielding, which allow the ship to restore its shields five times faster than previous SSD models. And with changes to the original superstructure, the M/SSD can support 6 additional squadrons of advanced fighters, additional support and combat vessels, and more troopers and ground assault equipment to aide in the conquering or pacification of planets and their resources. Serving as the flagship of the Imperial Directorate, the M/SSD Eradicator is the first of a new generation of Super Star Destroyer's built within an Imperial faction, and likely not to be the last as the Imperial Directorate continues to expand its territory and acquire newer materials and resources.
