Providing a new model of frigate to meets today's challenges and space combat needs, the Tian engineers developed a class of frigate never before seen in the history of space combat. Sporting state-of-the-art technologies, the ship is highly automated, requiring only a small crew. However the ship also boasts some of the most powerful engines ever seen in a frigate-sized vessel, while also allowing for far superior and more powerful weapon systems. Coupled with the ability to support up to 6 fully equipped starfighter squadrons, as well as the means to provide both reinforcement and initial-entry ground troops to a designated hot-zone planet, the Viceroy-class Star Frigate outclasses any existing similarly classed ship in the entire galaxy. One of the most important additions to the Viceroy-class was the addition of micro gravity wells, nearly 2.5 times smaller than those used on the older Immobilizer-class cruisers, these gravity wells are able to stop up to an ISD-II sized ship and hold it in place for capture. Able to provide similar firepower to a VSD-II, the Viceroy-class frigate can easily stay in for the long haul during a firefight. With it's enhanced systems and firepower, the ship also boasts a far greater anti-starfighter capability comparable to 3 Nebulon-B frigates. Viewed by many as the future of star frigates, the engineers at the Tian Shipyards are already secretly working on developing the means to provide cloaking technology to this class of ship. Combined with hit's armaments and ability to stop ships in their tracks, it is hoped that in the future these ships could be used for far more ranging space combat operations, as well as for intelligence gathering missions.
