Imperial Stormtrooper Core Course Notes {ISTE}
Welcome to the 501st Legion Trooper. Only the best of the best get accepted to the 501st. Our proud history goes all the way back to the Clone Wars and serving under Lord Darth Vader. Below is the list of what will be covered in this course:
What does the Legion do?
Well fictionally the 501st Legion is the Imperial Directorate’s elite shock troops. While there are a lot of stormtrooper units in the Directorate, the 501st only accepts the best of the best.
While the Legion competes in ground-based Star Wars games such as Empire at War and Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, They also participate in fictional run-ons, role-playing and fiction writing as these pertain to their area of the club.
The Chain of Command
Chain of command in the Legion is crucial, as orders must be carried out instantly and without question. More literally it is important to start at your first line supervisors with all problem, requests and questions. Below is the Legion chain of command:
Executor
|
Chancellor
|
501st Legion Field Commander
|
Battalion Commander
|
Company Commander
|
Platoon Commander
|
Squad Leader
|
Trooper
All questions and problems should always go to your squad leader first and then work your way up the chain of command. NEVER go straight to the Field Commander or Executor.
Activities
Single and Multi-player games – Playing single player games or challenging other members or friends to approved games is one of the primary activities of the Legion. Competing as joint teams or pairs is another aspect through which troopers can enforce their dominance and training in the gaming realms.
Run-ons – Run-ons is a great way to interact fictionally on the message board with your friends and other members and unlike role-playing can be done at any time.
Fiction Writing – Writing fictional stories about your character and his adventures adds depth to you and the club.
IRC Role Playing – Getting on IRC and acting out your character with other members can be very exciting.
Khaos Battledome – Doing fictional fights against other members in the battledome with rules, weapons and handicaps is always fun.
Divisions of the Legion
Infantry Unit Deployments
The first division within the 501st Legion is the Battalion, which comprises three Companies, each containing four Platoons. A Platoon contains six squads, with each Squad (the smallest unit of the Legion) comprising a total of 12 highly trained and specialized troopers. A Platoon will typically contain one of each of the following specialized Squads: Marines, Desert Assault, Recon/Scout, Cold Assault, Special Operations and Armor. Each Squad is highly specialized in their designated areas, but at any time is capable of functioning in a support role for standard Imperial or Naval Stormtrooper units during battle engagements.
Armored Units
Each Platoon is assigned One Armored Unit, comprising a force of 1 AT-AT, 2 AT-TEs, 3 AT-STs, 3 AT-PTs, 3 TIE Crawlers, along with a variety of supplemental vehicles at their disposal. The use of the vehicles will be dictated by the Platoon commanders and are dependent on the needs of the Imperial Directorate. These armored units are the elite units of the 501st Legion. Only the Squad Leader of an armored unit is permitted to pilot an AT-AT, as they alone hold the proper training and experience to command such a massive machine of war. Troopers assigned to an Armory Squad are permitted to train through the Imperial University in how to operate each piece of equipment that the Squad utilizes. However it is at the discretion of the Squad Leader to determine if that individual is ready and capable to pilot a larger attack vehicle.
