CHAPTER NINE - ACTIVITIES
Debates: Fictional star wars debates revolving around the ID. A topic or problem is put before the senate and the senators debate the issue and vote on it. This is also a good way to have new things voted on for the ID. Troopers and Naval officers can give their opinions to their planetary representatives and those representatives would vote on the majority of their constituents. This is a good way to get an organized vote from the whole club. Members can also debate on what’s happening in real life such as presidential debates and world issues.
Planet Management: Each month Senators will get a planetary income. The representatives from that planet will have to discuss and debate how to spend those credits to upgrade their planets. For example:
Cantrell III has received 200,000 imperial credits this month. One senator wants to buy more freighters to transport their goods. This would save them money on hiring independent ships and would allow them to get more of their product on the market. Another Senator wants to upgrade the Golan II station orbiting the planet due to recent pirate attacks. While a third wants to pour money back into the economy. They must decide what they will do. These additions will be permanently attached to the planetary records and will affect role-play and run ons.
Fiction: Fiction writing as well as run ons will be a staple. Senate intrigue and assassination attempts will be just two of the most common topics.
