The MC-16(Carbine) is a highly effective weapon, powerful but with extra venting it can easily pierce through armor. Originally designed off of the DC-15 the technology that went into it's production is newer and far more up to date, so while appearing much the same it is more powerful and much more accurate than it's ancient predecessor. It has also been re-equiped with a scope, which can also communicate with helmet mounted systems with a software upgrade to further increase accuracy.
